The Ocean of the Definitive Meaning written by the 9th Karmapa Wangchuk Dorje in the 16th century, is one of the most extensive texts on Mahamudra in the Kagyu lineage. Lama Karma Chötso will teach from two chapters of this extraordinary book dealing with “The Actual Practice”. Two days will be devoted to the chapter on Shamatha or Calm Abiding Meditation and two days on the chapter on Vipashyana or Superior Insight Meditation. The Karmapa’s writings, quotes from masters of Mahamudra he has included will be covered along with time for actual practice.
Note that 4-Day Meditation Intensives are by invitation only. If you would like to participate, ask Lama Karma Chötso if you are ready. Registration for the four day meditation intensives requires a non-refundable $50 registration fee. $300 is due by the first day of the seminar.
